To gain feedback on how I performed on my role I asked the producer of my group to answer the following questions:
What did I do well?
When we were discussing our initial ideas, you contributed a key theme about assassins that later developed into our actual film.
Additionally you seemed like you knew your stuff, with sound and editing, and you were very confident in using the microphone before and during our film shoot with very few mistakes, such as a mic in shot.
Also when it came to the final stage of production, you listened well and understood out team’s ideas when you were put in charge of editing, and again you were very great in how you handled it, even finishing a bit early. You are very calm and collected whilst editing in a professional way.
What were the challenges and how were they dealt with?
You were very adaptable when facing challenges such as when we did not have a spare person to fill in for sound. You navigated the role almost perfectly despite not having much prior experience.
How did I work within my team?
Whilst editing you listened well to our inputs and even put you own ideas into editing, being both independent in you work as well as effectively communicating with the whole team.
You also listened well to every instruction on the filming day and you showed everyone how the sound came out in the end.
At the start you were good at pitching concepts and ideas and you worked considerably well and diligently despite the time limit.
Do you have any advice or areas for development?
Maybe be more affirmative in the way you convey you own ideas. You are good at producing them but you could be more outspoken to others.
